🇺🇸 The Vought F4U Corsair is a single-engine, carrier-capable fighter developed by Vought for the United States Navy in World War II. Powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp, it combined high speed, heavy armament, and excellent climb performance.
First flying on 29 May 1940, the F4U Corsair served as a fighter and fighter-bomber in the Pacific and later in the Korean War. The aircraft appears in the film Devotion, depicting naval aviation and the heroic missions of U.S. Navy pilots.
