🇬🇧 The Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb, a British fighter developed during the early years of the Second World War, was introduced in 1941 as an improved response to the growing threat of German aircraft such as the Messerschmitt Bf 109 F. Powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine, it combined excellent maneuverability, strong climb performance, and heavier armament with two 20 mm Hispano cannons and four .303 machine guns.
