🇷🇺 The Mikoyan MiG‑29, nicknamed “Fulcrum”, is a Soviet fighter developed in the 1970s to counter advanced Western jets like the F-15 and F-16. First flown on October 6, 1977 and entering service in 1983, it was designed for air superiority and close-range combat. Over time, modernized versions such as the MiG‑29M, SMT, and K added multirole capabilities, improved avionics, and extended range, making the MiG‑29 a key aircraft in Eastern European, Indian, and Middle Eastern air forces.
