🇺🇸 The Martin B-26 Marauder is a twin-engine, medium bomber developed by the Glenn L. Martin Company during World War II. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engines, it delivered high subsonic speed for its class, a heavy bomb load, and strong defensive armament. Designed with a relatively small wing and sleek fuselage, it required higher landing and takeoff speeds but proved highly effective once mastered. The B-26 gained a reputation for durability and precision bombing, and by the end of the war, it held one of the lowest loss rates of any Allied bomber in the European Theater.
