🇷🇴 The IAR 80 is a single-engine, low-wing monoplane fighter developed in Romania by Industria Aeronautică Română (IAR) in the late 1930s. Powered by an IAR K14 14-cylinder radial engine (licensed Gnome-Rhône design) producing around 960–1,025 hp, it featured retractable landing gear and an all-metal structure. Designed as a front-line fighter and later adapted into fighter-bomber variants (IAR-81), it was Romania’s primary combat aircraft during World War II.
