🇩🇪 The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch is a high-wing, single-engine liaison and observation aircraft developed by the Fieseler in the late 1930s. Powered by an Argus As 10 engine, it featured exceptional short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance, capable of operating from extremely short and improvised fields. Its design incorporated long-travel landing gear, leading-edge slats, and large flaps, enabling remarkable low-speed control and steep approach angles. Renowned for its versatility and agility at low speeds, the Fi 156 was widely used for reconnaissance, medical evacuation, and liaison missions throughout World War II.
