🇺🇸 The F-14A Tomcat is a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing, long-range fleet defense interceptor developed by Grumman Aerospace Corporation for the U.S. Navy in the late 1960s. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney TF30-P-414A afterburning turbofan engines, it combined high speed (over Mach 2), powerful long-range radar, and the AIM-54 Phoenix missile system to defend carrier battle groups against bomber and cruise missile threats.
